TOMATO CHUTNEY Recipe | Chutney/Dips Recipe by Anuradha Rajesh |
| INGREDIENTS | Onion (big) - 2, chopped
Tomato (big) - 4
Red chillies - 3
Salt to taste
Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard - 1 tsp | METHOD | 1. First, fry onion in oil till light brown. Keep aside.
2. Then fry red chilli in the same manner and keep aside.
3. Now, fry whole tomatoes in oil (no need to cut the tomatoes into pieces).
4. Remove the skin of the tomatoes.
5. Now, grind the fried tomatoes, red chilli and onion (can add water for thin consistency).
6. Heat oil in a pan and fry mustard seeds and add it to the ground chutney.
7. Now chutney is ready to serve.
8. Goes well with idly, dosa, idiyaappam etc. |
