TOMATO GARLIC RASAM Recipe | Soups and Stews Recipe by Anukaruna |
| INGREDIENTS | 3 tomatoes
4 - 5 garlic cloves chopped
Corinader leaves
Tamrind water (Tarmind dissolved in water)
Oil
For making Rasam powder:
Black pepper
Daniya seeds or coriander seeds
Cumin seeds
Whole red chillies
Chopped garlic cloves
Method: In a pan add little oil and the above 5 ingredients and stir for 4 - 5 minutes on low flame, then allow to cool for few minutes and then grind them together in a mixie. Rasam powder is ready. | METHOD | 1. In a flat bottomed vessel or kadai add oil after 2 minutes add mustard seeds after they splutter sprinkle asfotedia powder then add the chopped tomatoes and stir until they become mashed.
2. Then add chopped garlic cloves and stir then add the rasam powder and stir so that it gets well mixed with the other ingredients.
3. Now add the tamrind water, salt and pinch of turmeric powder and cover with the lid for 5 - 8 minutes.
4. It starts to boil after 6 - 8 min.
5. Remove the lid add corinader leaves and stir and switch of the stove. |
