CAPSICUM(BELL PEPPER) CURRY Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Madhavi |
| INGREDIENTS | 1.Capsicum/Bell Peppers(500 gm in india) or two big ones(NRI's)
2.Two big onions diced
3.Gingergarlic paste 2 tea spoons
4.Jeera for seasoning
5.Dhaniya powder 1 tea spoon
6.Chilly powder 1/2 tea spoon
7.Peanut(or)Sesame(or)Coconut poweder-4 tea spoons
8.oil(3 table spoons)
9.Salt to taste
10.Turmeric-1/2 tea spoon
11.milk(1/2 cup) | METHOD | 1.Dice the capsicum or bell pepper into small cubes
2.Heat oil in a pan and add jeera when the oil is hot
3.Add to the pan onions, gingergarlic paste,turmeric and diced capsicum
4.Stir and cover with lid for few minutes
5.Now when the contents of the pan look transprent add salt,dhaniya powder,chilly powder and peanut/sesame/coconut powder(can add all of the three powders if avaliable if not can go with any one of them)
6.Now finally add milk to the pan and stir.
7.When the gravy in the pan turns thick take off the pan and transfer the contents.
8.Serve this curry with plain rice/roti etc....
9.This curry cooks very fast and its easy to make. |
