CARROT KHEER Recipe | Indian Sweets Recipe by Shyamala |
| INGREDIENTS | Carrot - 1/2 kg
Milk - 1 ltr
Sugar - 5 to 6 teaspoons
Raisins, kaju - few
Ghee | METHOD | 1. Boil the carrots in water or put them in a pressure cooker. Remove after two whistles.
2. After the carrots are cool grind them in a mixer finely for 3 minutes.
3. Boil this carrot paste and put it in stove on a low fire. Add milk. Keep stirring and add sugar. If the kheer becomes very thick, more milk can be added.
4. Remove it when it becomes kheer consistency. Keep aside.
5. Take a little ghee, rasins and kaju in a big copper spoon and put it on a low flame till they become brown and start bursting. Mix this in carrot kheer.
The kheer is ready. Serve hot. |
