MOONG PAYASAM Recipe | Indian Sweets Recipe by Karishma Shetty |
| INGREDIENTS | 1 cup Moong
1 cup sabu daana
1 coconut
4 Cardamons
8 - 10 Raisins
8 - 10 broken fried cashewnuts
½ kilo jaggery
½ tsp salt
4 cups water | METHOD | 1. Take 2 cups of warm water and grind the cocount, strain the thick coconut milk in a vessel and 2nd time again grind the same grated coconut to get thin coconut milk in other vessel soak the sabu dana for ½ an hour before putting it in cooker.
2. Cook moong dal and sabudana in different vessel in pressure cooker for 5 whistles with water as per needed to cook, dont throw the water.
3. Take a vessel & heat the thin cocount milk and then put moong dal and sabu dana with water when it starts boiling put jaggery (sweetness according to your taste) when the jaggery melts, put little salt, then put fried cashewnuts, raisins and Cardamon powder, when it boils put the thick coconut milk till it boils, simmer it for 5 min.
4. The delecious payasam is ready, and good for health too. |
