FISH CURRY Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Smitha Venugopal |
| INGREDIENTS | Seer fish - 6 pieces
Tomatoes - 2 big
Small onions - ½ cup sliced
Green chillies slit - 2
Ginger chopped - 1 tsp
Garlic chopped - 1 tsp
Coconut grated - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Curry leaves | METHOD | 1. Extract the first and second milk from coconut.
2. Put oil in a pan and add chopped ginger and garlic. Fry for a while.
3. Add sliced onions, slit chillies add curry leaves. Fry until the onions are soft.
4. Add all the powders except salt. Fry for a few seconds and add chopped tomatoes. Add salt and fry again.
5. Add second milk from the coconut.
6. When it starts boiling, add cleaned fish pieces. Allow it to cook for some time.
7. When it is done, add the first coconut milk.
8. Serve hot. |
