LAKHNAVI ALOO Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Smita Nadgir |
| INGREDIENTS | 1/2 kg potatoes
100 gms mashed potatoes
100 gms crumbled paneer
1 tsp red chili powder
Salt to taste
1 tsp garam masala
1 1/2 tsp kasoori methi
3 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp cream
Onion gravy
200 gm onions
1/2 tsp garam masala
Salt to taste
1 tsp ghee
Tomato gravy
200 gm fresh tomato puree
Salt to taste
1 tsp ghee
| METHOD |
1. For the onion gravy, cook all the ingredients until reduced.
2. For the tomato gravy, cook all the ingredients until reduced.
3. Cut out the cores of the potatoes and deep fry.
4. Stuff the fried potatoes with the mashed potatoes and paneer.
5. Cook the onion and tomato gravies in oil until the oil separates.
6. Add all the masalas and cook for 1 minute.
7. Stir in the butter and the cream.
8. Finally, add the potatoes and simmer.
