PUDINA PULAV Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Smita Nadgir |
| INGREDIENTS | Pudina Leaves - 1 bunch
Coriander leaves - 1/2 bunch
Onion -1(paste)
Cloves - 9
Cinnamon sticks - 1
Green chillies - 4 to 6
Bay leaf - 2
Peppercons - 15 to 20
Coconut - half or dessicated Coconut 1 and half cup
Jeera -1 tsp
Salt to taste
Ghee - 2 tbsps
Water - 4 cups
Rice - 2 cups
Peas - 1 cup | METHOD |
1. In mixer put onion, cloves, cinnamon sticks, green chilles, peppercons, pudina leaves, coriander leaves, coconut and jeera. Make a fine paste of it. Add a little water while grinding.
2. In a pan take 2 tbsps ghee heat it.
3. Put some jeera seeds, bay leaf and the peas then add the paste
4. Cook it well until the gravy has left all water and is well done.
5. In a rice cooker or cooker add the paste cooked, water and rice and pressure cook it.
6. Add ghee in cooker before cooking it so it tastes well.
7. Serve hot with raita.
