MALAI WALE KOFTE Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Smita Nadgir |
| INGREDIENTS | 5 potatoes - bolied and peeled
1 cup - dry breadcrumbs
1/2 cup - coconut dessicated
1/4 cup - mixed dry fruits ground
2 to 4 greenchillies - chopped finely
1/2 cup coriander leaves
Oil as needed
Salt and sugar
3 cup - curd
3 blanched tomaotes ground
3/4 cup - cream
1 tsp - haldi
1 tsp - garammasala
1 tsp - red chilli powder
1 tsp - cumin seeds
| METHOD | 1. Mash the potatoes and make lemon sized balls.
2. Mix the coconut, dry fruits, chillies, corainder leaves, salt and sugar for filling.
3. Put in a small quantity of this stuffing in a potato ball. Roll each ball in bread crumbs and keep refrigerate it for half an hour.
4. Deep fry them and drain and keep aside.
5. Heat 4 tbsps of oil in a pan.
6. Add cumin seeds, ground tomaot and curds. fry till done.
7. Add powdered spices, sugar and salt.
8. Add 2 and half cups of water and let it boil for 5 -7 minutes.
9. Remove from fire, add cream and simmer.
10. Put the koftas and cook for a minutes.
11. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and cream.
