STUFFED OKRA Recipe | Main Course Recipe by Padma |
| INGREDIENTS | 10 - 15 okra
1 small (70gms) onions
For Masala:
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon garam masala
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander
jeera powder
salt to taste
½ teaspoon sugar
1 tablespoon (lemon juice) | METHOD | 1. Wash all okras and spread it on a tissue paper so that all water is gone. Once okras are dried, cut the head and slit the okras lengthwise into 4 without breaking the okra.
2. Mix all masala powder. Stuff each okra with the above prepared masala.
3. Slice the onion. Keep kadai and add 2 tsp of oil. When oil is hot add mustard and when it stops spluttering add onion and stuffed okra.
4. Close the lid and keep it on medium flame. Cook till bendis are done. Enjoy with rice, chapati, roti, naan or rice. |
