RAW JACKFRUIT PODIMAS Recipe

  INGREDIENTS
Raw jack fruit(pala pinju)samll sized,
saunf powder -1/4tsp,
big onion -1 no,
garlic -5 pods
chilli powder-1/2tsp
turmeric powder-1/4tsp
salt to taste,
grated coconut- 10 tsp
oil

  METHOD
1. Remove the coarse skin of the raw jack fruit and cut into medium sized cubes.(not so small)

2. Put in cooker with salt and water and cook it for one whistle (it should not be over cooked) and let it cool.

3. Take and grate(with hands only)there should not be lumps it should be like grated coconut.

4. Heat oil in a kadai, add saunf powder, karipatta and then add finely slit onions and fry well, then add finely slit garlic and fry well.

5. Add chilli powder,turmeric powder, salt and fry for 5min in low flame then add the grated raw jack fruit mix well and keep it for 5 min,then add grated coconut.

6. Remove from flame and serve.
