RADISH CHUTNEY Recipe | Chutney/Dips Recipe by vatsalya |
| INGREDIENTS | 250gm Radish peeled and chopped.
3 red chillies
1 tbsp urad daal
1 tbsp Bengal gram (split)
1/2 tsp Mustard (raai)seeds
1/2 tsp cumin(jeera) seeds
1/2 Tbsp Tamarind
1/4 tsp fenugreek(methi) seeds
pinch of hing(asafoedita)
pinch of turmeric(haldi)
Oil 5 tbsp
Salt to taste. | METHOD | peel and cut the radish into small pieces.
In a pan add 3-4 Tbsp of oil and add radish pieces.
fry them in a low flame by adding pinch of turmeric till they are brown by stirring occassionally to avoid sticking to the bottom..add tamarind and switch off the flame .
keep another kadai on stove add remaining oil and heat.
add urad daal,bengal gram and let them splutter.now add cumin seeds,mustard seeds,fenugreek seeds, red chillies asafoedita.switch off the flame.
grind these seeds to paste by not adding water. now to this add fried radish along with tamarind.
now grind to a fine paste by adding required amount of salt.
garnish with coriander and serve with white rice. |
